What’s a Gas Safety Certificate?
The Gas Safety Certificate – sometimes referred to as the Gas Safety Record – is an important document for landlords. Our gas engineer will check all of your appliances and then record the results in a sheet that you’ll be given a copy of. This copy can then be passed onto your tenant to assure them that everything is working properly and in line with all British Regulations.
Not following the proper procedures can carry severe penalties and in extreme cases, fines can be up to £6000. If something happens as the result of improper or non-existent certification, your property insurance won’t be valid and you will be held fully responsible. What’s Included in the Bristol Gas Safety Certificate?
As standard, the Gas Safety Certificate in Bristol will list all of the following information:
