There are few things more irritating than running out of hot water when you are in the middle of showering. One of the day’s most relaxing activities becomes a hurried mess as you try and make the best of the dwindling warm water to finish washing. This is only made worse if you need to shower more than once a day after working out or you live in a household with many people, hot water management becomes a real chore.
Electric showers eliminate these problems by providing you with a functionally infinite source of hot water whenever you want it. Our Expert Plumbers and electricians can install an electric shower in your Southampton home which uses its own heating element to quickly heat cold water as it moves through the machine. They come with temperature controls allowing you to adjust the heat to your liking and some models have extra functionality like different pressure modes.
Installing a new electric shower in your home is one of the more common services for our Southampton plumbing and heating team. All you need to do is make an appointment and one of our team members will come and inspect your bathroom and provide you with an obligation-free quote. After accepting it, we will organise a time that suits you for our team members to come and install your new shower.
Electric showers can be fitted above baths or in dedicated shower cubicles. If you do not have a cubicle but would like one, we are capable of installing one for you as well. An electric shower installation usually is a quick process that can be completed with the minimum of fuss or disruption for you and your family.
Generally speaking, electric showers are very low-maintenance devices. After we install one in your home, you can expect it to function perfectly for a very long time. However, nothing lasts forever but we can supply the next best thing by performing repairs and maintenance on your behalf so that your electric shower lasts as long as possible.
There are three components to the operation of an electric shower, the plumbing, the heating and the drainage. We have experts in each of these categories who are always available to make sure that everything is running smoothly. As soon as you notice that anything is not running as expected, it is always best to give us a call right away. For instance, if the water is draining slowly then one of our Drainage Experts can deal with the problem and prevent any issues that lead to bigger problems like flooding.
Absolutely blown away by the service we received. Took all the stress out of losing our heating and hot water. Highly recommended!

After noticing that the house was unusually cold, we found that the heating wasn’t coming on and that our hot water had also failed. We called the team at No 1 PHD who dispatched an engineer to investigate. After discovering that the culprit was a faulty boiler part, they ordered in a new part and got it fitted as quickly as possible. The guys were great, and we couldn’t be happier.
For days, we’ve noticed a foul smell coming from outside and a gurgling sound coming from one of the drains. Whenever it would rain, the area around it would flood slightly and take ages to drain. We tried buying drain unblockers, but none seemed effective. Eventually, we turned to No 1 PHD and were left wondering why we didn’t do this sooner.
