Complicated System

Hot water, boilers, immersions and radiators all run from a water tank but there are two types of tank and knowing which one is causing the problem needs to be ascertained before any repairs can begin. Hot water can come from one of two sources:

• A cold water tank from which the water is heated when required

What’s the Problem?

Most hot water issues can be traced back to faults in the hot water tank or immersion heater. Normally problems arise here because of wear and tear over time and will require the installation of replacement parts or faulty wiring. Sometimes, however, the fault lies not in the water tank but in the connecting pipework which may be partially blocked or leaking.
