Sewers are absolutely vital components because they take all of the waste water away from your commercial establishment. Unfortunately, people don’t tend to pay sewers much mind until something goes wrong, such as when you suddenly get a blocked toilet that can be the start of something much more serious.
Thankfully you have now arrived at No1 PHD – the experts providing the finest Bristol emergency sewer services in the business. A blockage can become very unpleasant very fast, so it’s always recommended that you have a dedicated team of professionals on standby in case something goes wrong.
There are numerous reasons that pipes might get blocked up, or a Bristol blocked drain may occur, but all of them cause problems that no property manager wants to deal with. If you’ve ever walked past a blocked sewer, you will already know how foul the smell is.
Not only will it smell horrible, a blocked sewage system can become a serious health hazard if it’s not dealt with promptly. No1 PHD works around the clock, 24 hours a day, so we’re ready for every eventuality at any time of day or night.
There are various underlying causes that can end up blocking up the drainage system. More often than not, it’s a case of the following objects being flushed down the toilet or kitchen sink:
Sewers can also be blocked by tree root ingress or infested by rodents – this is quite common with older drainage systems that already have fractures in them that enable the roots or the rats to easily find their way inside. Not too long ago, the only option for clearing the drains would have been drain excavation.
Thankfully technology has greatly advanced since then and No1 PHD possesses all of the latest technology and equipment to get the problem sorted without having to dig up the entire area. We will start by feeding one of our quality CCTV drain cameras into the system. High definition images will be shown on our screen above the ground that enable us to get a comprehensive overview of exactly what’s going on inside.
In most cases, the fastest and most cost-effective way to get your sewer drains unblocked in Bristol is by utilising high-pressure water jetting. Tree root cutters will be used if ingress is the issue but for the majority of other problems, the water jets will offer more than enough pressure to clear the entire space and have the drains looking as good as new.
Absolutely blown away by the service we received. Took all the stress out of losing our heating and hot water. Highly recommended!

After noticing that the house was unusually cold, we found that the heating wasn’t coming on and that our hot water had also failed. We called the team at No 1 PHD who dispatched an engineer to investigate. After discovering that the culprit was a faulty boiler part, they ordered in a new part and got it fitted as quickly as possible. The guys were great, and we couldn’t be happier.
For days, we’ve noticed a foul smell coming from outside and a gurgling sound coming from one of the drains. Whenever it would rain, the area around it would flood slightly and take ages to drain. We tried buying drain unblockers, but none seemed effective. Eventually, we turned to No 1 PHD and were left wondering why we didn’t do this sooner.
