One of our most useful services is high-pressure water jetting. It’s a versatile, cost-effective procedure that our drainage experts in Portsmouth regularly use for a variety of drainage problems. It cleans all types of grime, blasts through blockages and ensures septic tanks stay fresh. And best of all, it’s an environmentally-friendly solution that uses nothing more than water. Whenever you think your drainage system is in urgent need of high-pressure water jetting, call No1PHD and we’ll come to the rescue.
The industrial grade equipment we use is approximately three or four times more powerful than the average household pressure washer. It takes a great deal of training to learn how to use the equipment safely as the water jet is so powerful it can cause serious injury and even damage the drain. High pressure compresses the water into a concentrated force as it passes through a fine nozzle known as a single pencil jet, shaping the spray into a slim cutting tip that can actually slice through concrete. High-pressure water jetting has several benefits:
The fat, kitchen waste, hair and paper that disappear down many drains quickly form a solid, compacted layer on the inside of the drainage system. Although soft and sticky to begin with, it soon acquires a texture that’s similar to concrete. But the concentrated power of high-pressure water jetting can slice through it without harming the drain. Even a difficult blockage can be cleared in less than an hour by our experienced Portsmouth No1PHD drainage team.
Absolutely blown away by the service we received. Took all the stress out of losing our heating and hot water. Highly recommended!

Septic tanks accumulate thick layers of sludge and encrusted limescale that are difficult to remove. However, high-pressure water jetting has the power to force them from the interior of the tank and its pipes. It should leave the tank in excellent working order and refreshingly clean and odour-free.
Drainage blockages caused through tree roots used to require lengthy excavation work, but high-pressure water jetting solves the problem fast. Our Portsmouth tree root ingress team uses the method to grind the roots to a soft pulp that is easily flushed away. It’s so effective, the procedure can often be completed in a short period of time.
Many drainage blockages are caused through layers of greasy debris that accumulate over time. Removing them on a regular basis before they have the opportunity to cause a large blockage is a simple, fast process with high-pressure water jetting. Drain gullies and pipes are thoroughly cleaned until they are look like new. The technique also improves the water flow within the drain. Performed regularly, drain cleaning can usually be done with the minimum of mess and distruption.

After noticing that the house was unusually cold, we found that the heating wasn’t coming on and that our hot water had also failed. We called the team at No 1 PHD who dispatched an engineer to investigate. After discovering that the culprit was a faulty boiler part, they ordered in a new part and got it fitted as quickly as possible. The guys were great, and we couldn’t be happier.
For days, we’ve noticed a foul smell coming from outside and a gurgling sound coming from one of the drains. Whenever it would rain, the area around it would flood slightly and take ages to drain. We tried buying drain unblockers, but none seemed effective. Eventually, we turned to No 1 PHD and were left wondering why we didn’t do this sooner.
