At the heart of any company or commercial property, small or large, is an effective waste management policy. Often overlooked, it is essential, when setting up, remodelling or taking over from the previous person responsible, to have an effective plan in place to deal with commercial waste, and more importantly, to both follow through with plans and make sure they are legally compliant. No1PHD will ensure that any and all waste is properly taken care of, from the moment it is collected to when it is destroyed or recycled; they provide an all-encompassing service that guarantees peace of mind for their clients, no matter where in the UK they are.
One of the biggest mistakes companies and commercial premises can make is to either think that they can dispose of waste themselves, or worse still, subcontract the process out to a company that promises amazing results for a cheap, ‘knock down’ price. This is both misleading and potentially dangerous. Waste needs to be disposed of properly for reasons not just related to legal compliance, but also because of confidentiality and personal and public safety. We’ve all seen piles of commercial waste rotting in lay-bys and up grass verges by the side of the road. Where this has not been dumped by the waste owners themselves, this is often the result of cheap ‘companies’ not having the correct disposal permits and licenses, and simply taking it away and throwing it out at the first place they can find. This is unsightly, dangerous to the public and illegal. And nine times out of ten, if the local authority find the results of fly tipping sat in a public place, they will rifle through it until they find some sort of identifying information; a partially shredded invoice, and old envelope or something similar is all they need to take a commercial enterprise to court. Ignorance is no excuse in this case; any company or commercial entity is expected to perform due diligence to ensure that the company they entrust with their waste management have the appropriate legal authority to get rid of it safely and in a compliant fashion.
This is why, with No1PHD, the service is not just limited to waste management and removal. By entrusting them with your waste management, you will be not only paying for the removal from premises, but the legal compliance, knowledge and correct disposal of every last piece of waste. Any effective (and legal) waste and rubbish disposal and management policy starts with a sensible, feasible plan to establish what can and can’t be disposed of, how to handle loads of varying sizes and the regularity of collections. Then, when the waste is collected, it is disposed of depending on the type of waste, presence of hazardous materials, the ability of any or all waste to be recycled and the nearest available facilities to the business whose waste is being taken away. Bagging up any and all waste and taking it to the local tip is not going to be enough, and unless they are allowing for the free disposal of commercial waste, it’s more than likely going to be turned away, so it’ll end up rotting in a wheelie bin, which poses serious risks to health and the effective running of any business.
No1PHD will ensure that commercial waste management becomes a one stop shop for any business or non-residential client. No more having to call around to find what waste will go where, no missed collections with no explanation, and no spurious transactions that are not logged or recorded. More importantly, no knocking on the door from the local authority with a fine or court summons for incorrectly disposing of waste.
No1PHD cover all areas of the UK and have local experts. They will know local and regional regulations, where waste needs to be taken, and how to offer the most competitive pricing depending on the size and duration of the job. After noticing that the house was unusually cold, we found that the heating wasn’t coming on and that our hot water had also failed. We called the team at No 1 PHD who dispatched an engineer to investigate. After discovering that the culprit was a faulty boiler part, they ordered in a new part and got it fitted as quickly as possible. The guys were great, and we couldn’t be happier.
For days, we’ve noticed a foul smell coming from outside and a gurgling sound coming from one of the drains. Whenever it would rain, the area around it would flood slightly and take ages to drain. We tried buying drain unblockers, but none seemed effective. Eventually, we turned to No 1 PHD and were left wondering why we didn’t do this sooner.
